Hi Talat,

You are almost there.
After install of beta9 I cann't logoff of XP. I have to stop the fib-service and then I can log off as an user and try to log on as another user.
Hope you can help me again. Thanks ...

Hi Peter,

It seems to be hard to solve the logoff problem. I guess It takes much time to fix it.

Hi Again Peter,

Sorry about this late posting. I have just noticed your posting because of not getting "Forum Subscription Notice" yet.

No, I don't. I just meant that It might hard to solve because I had already heard lots of bug cases about interactive windows services.

I compiled FIBS 1.1.0 Beta-10 yesterday. After completing its pre-testing, I'll send you its download link to test it on Windows 2003 sytem in 2-3 days. Beta-10 seems to be OK on XP.

Hi Peter,

I have deleted my previous posting not to cause possible misunderstanding. Here is the better explanation of Beta-10’s logoff problem.

If system default locale and user default locale have different decimal separator, date and time format, logging off the user causes erroneous task executing of FIBS when it comes the first scheduled executing time.
For example, my OS is XP Proffesional Turkish. So, default system locale is Turkish. If I change my locale, after logging on, to any other one which has the same decimal separator and date-time format like German or Nederland, FIBS will keep on running tasks perfectly after logoff. But changing the locales to any other ones which has different decimal separator and date-time format like English US will cause FIBS to stop running tasks or to run task erroneously.
Just like me, it’s sure that you don’t have also any trouble with FIBS after logging off unless you change your locale to any other ones uses 12 hours format like English US.

The reason of this serious problem is too simple than expected. After logging off the user, FIBS keeps on running in system environment which has system defaut locale (default regional settings of OS), not user default locale. But FIBS tries to use the user locales to format date and times. Then, FIBS will fall the pit at the first scheduled time.

There are more than one way to solve the problem and I am still being considering theirs pros and cons.

Regards
